Aurora : Lights of Wonder

The Most Artistic Animation

The animation was used to portray myths inspired by auroras and the origin of its name.
Myths and beliefs of ancient people about auroras came to life in a fantasy style animation.

The tribes in the northern tip of North America called auroras the “Dance of the Spirits.”

A long time ago, the Finnish people called the Northern Lights "fox fire"

When auroral activity is intense,
red auroras may appear in the southern European cities, far from the Arctic Circle.
People there trembled with fear when dark red currents of light covered the northern sky
because they believed the lights were an omen of war or a sign from the gods.

An Italian scientist, Galileo Galilei, named the mysterious light in the night sky after Aurora, the goddess of dawn.

In Roman mythology, at every dawn before the sunrise, the goddess brings light to the world.
Like a daybreak, Aurora is the light that slowly illuminates the world.
